Movies That Will Put You in the Holiday Spirit
If many people haven't noticed already, Christmas is my personal favorite holiday. I enjoy the decorations, festive activities, and ugly sweater contests. If you aren't already feeling holly, these holiday movies might be of help.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
I realize this movie might not be appealing to many other holiday lovers because it isn’t the original. I love this version because Jim Carrey portrays an excellent Grinch. The plot is based on the original Dr. Seuss film, but Jim Carrey’s natural humor makes the film much more enjoyable.

The Polar Express (2004)
This movie puts me in my feels, and I can’t explain my reasoning for being so emotional without spoiling the plot. Watching this film is a great way to bond with family during the holidays, and it’s especially great for kids that still believe in Santa Claus.

A Wonderful Life (1946)
This film will also put me in my feels. It follows George Bailey who has many problems and wonders if his life is still worth living. The film continues by viewing what George’s life would be like if he didn’t exist.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas (1999)
This 3 part film is great for the family. The first part features the nephews of Donald Duck and their wish of having Christmas every day. The second follows Goofy as he tries to convince Max that Santa Claus is in fact real. The last part of this film views Mickey and Minnie’s effort in getting each other the perfect gift. After many ups-and-downs, they both realize that their love for one another is the greatest gift of all.

A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)
What is Christmas without A Charlie Brown Christmas? In this film, Charlie struggles to find the true meaning of Christmas. He’s overwhelmed by the commercialized holiday and tries to incorporate a play that would hopefully get him in the spirit. The Peanuts Gang face many obstacles as they try to perfect the final project, and Charlie is convinced that everything won’t work out. In the end, the gang encourages Charlie to believe in Christmas.
